Virtual World Conference 2010
Westley and I attended this year’s Virtual World Conference in Second Life as presenters to discuss pedagogy, experiences and how the dissolution of the Teen Grid affects the educational community. We tried to cover as many of our partner projects as possible in the time we were given, and left about 20 minutes for questions from the audience. The attendees seemed to be especially interested in the differences between teaching in a virtual space as opposed to a real classroom, and of course, what our thoughts were about Linden Lab’s policy shift and the relaxation of the age limits on the Main Grid. Overall, it was a successful presentation, and if you are interested, please take a look at some of the videos captured during the event below.
Special thanks to our host, Claus Nehmzow for inviting us to speak, and congratulations on a successful conference!
